









RAFTING Y KAYAKING
Rafting and Kayaking that may get to a IV level of difficulty are some of the biggest
attractions for adventure seekers in this region of Ecuador. The
splendid white crystalline rivers, surrounded by a stunning natural and exotic
environment make these trips even more spectacular. We offer
tours from one to four days. We also offer rafting for
families in the river Anzu, eventhough this activity is less risky, guarantees an exciting adventure!
No experience in Rafting is required for our tours.
THE RIVER ANZU (Clase II-III)
It's
the perfect trip for those seeking adventure in rivers, since that
provides a fun and relaxing day, floating through small rapids along
the magnificent landscape of the Rainforest. We always bring a kayak
for the most adventurous of the group. This trip is also ideal
for families and young ones.

THE HIGH NAPO (Clase III)
The
High Napo is also known locally as Jatunyacu River, which means
"huge
water" in Quichua. HUGE is probably the best word to describe this
river. Large waves and great fun! An excellent trip for beginners and
experts
alike, it has the perfect combination of exciting rapids, natural and
calmed pools, and the fabulous scenery of the jungle. Being the head of
one of
the two rivers that form the vast Amazon, this is an adventure that
should not be wasted! No previous experience is required.

Cultures, flora and fauna in the middle of the Amazon jungle
DAY 1
Arriving at the lodge in the afternoon. After the long journey we have time to rest and relax in the cabins. Dinner. Welcome drink and assembly in the campfire to coordinate all activities for the next day. In addition, the Cabin Administrator gives a full explanation of the jungle.
DAY 2
Early in the morning will have breakfast. After
all equipment preparations are arranged to undertake our adventure
(special boots and "ponchos" for the rain). From there we pick the
cabin canoe and head downstream, experiencing
the wonderful Ecuadorian jungle through the waters of the mighty Napo
River.
We will arrive at Misahualli, where we'll stop about 30 minutes for the
checkup in the Navy. Never forget your
passport!! Thejourney continues through the Napo River until we reach
Arajuno. Here we visit the Animal Rescue Center AMAZOONICO. This
center is specialized in rescuing wild animals for their
protection and
reintegration into their natural habitat. Here we see a large species
variety such as toucans, parrots, different kinds of monkeys,
jaguars, capybaras, etc.
After this visit, we'lll have a lunch, in picnic style at the edge of
the river. There's also the chance to swim in the river or
simply enjoy the
beauty of the place. Then we return to the cabins.
DAY 3
After breakfast we take our rubber boots and
rain "ponchos" to hike in the primary forest. Walking through the
forest we will find all the secrets of the Amazon jungle, their
amazing medicinal plants, their uses will be detailed by our native
guide and also the ancestral ways in which they were used by the
inhabitants of the jungle. In addition, we'll have the chance to find a number of insects.
Several species of monkeys walk through the trees of the forest, we
can see them if we are silent and cautious. All our journey birds come with us
with their songs. After three hours we'll stop for a
delicious lunch box in the middle of the jungle, enjoying the
fascinating environment.
After resting for a few minutes embark on our journey back by a
different route, noting most of the wildlife of the forest. We will get
to the lodge and entrance afternoon.
At night we have dinner and time at the campfire.
DAY 4
In the morning after our breakfast, we'll travel
with the canoes
upstream. After 10 minutes we reach the shore from where we
descend in a fun walk for an hour watching the flora and
fauna of
secondary forest. At the end of our tour we meet a beautiful waterfall,
called Las Latas. Here we can enjoy a refreshing swim in its waters
relaxing
and enjoying the beauty of the environment. The sounds of the
jungle and the force of falling water make this place
a spectacular site.
Return to lunch at the cabins
In the afternoon we get ready to visit one of the native communities
which lies on the banks of the Napo River. We'll meet a Quichua
family that will show us their old ancestral customs: how
gold was washed on the banks of the River, the development of its
traditional ceramics, the preparation of their typical "chicha Yucca"
and
the use of their hunting techniques with the blowgun.
After this interesting vision of the Quichua culture, we return to the
Lodge enjoying a short journey through the secondary jungle. Upon
arrival we expected a small snack.
At night after dinner, we meet at the campfire area.
DAY 5
Breakfast. After this we will prepare for the return journey.
