DAY 1 Friday
In the morning depart from Quito, to Macas and Miasal Once we arrive to Miasal, we will travel by canoe to the Shuar lodge” TSUIRIM JEA”, this afternoon a short walk around the area will help us to get familiar with atmosphere. After dinner there will be a traditional welcoming ceremony. (D)
DAY 2
Morning hike to the beautiful thermal falls (B/Box lunch/D)
DAY 3
Shuar Market Day: in the morning, we will have the opportunity to purchase handmade crafts from the Shuar people. In the afternoon, we take a hike to a Shuar house. Here will learn about traditional Shuar life. This will offer us an opportunity to learn how the Shuar lives. Women making chicha (Shuar beer) and the man will teach us how to use the blowgun. Partake in a traditional meal. Overnight with the family.(B/L/D)
DAY 4
Morning fishing (man) and Chicha, shuar traditional drink made from Yuka-manok (women). I hike around the primary forest.(B/L/D).
DAY 5
Today is a day to visit the Shuar sacred falls (4 hours hike), overnight in the forest right next to the falls. Wonderful opportunity to enjoy the nature. (B/Box lunch and Dinner)
DAY 6
Bird watching morning and for those who like to have a morning swim in the lake and waterfall will be welcome. After breakfast we get ready to return to the main lodge. (B/L/D)
DAY 7
After breakfast morning departure flying from Miasal to Macas and Quito (B/L) Depends of the weather conditions.
